form of inquiry into the interface between society, culture and technology.

at the forefront of this inquiry in both their use of new media and
their aesthetic exploration of its effects.

During Mental Health Week 2005, The Arc Group has put together an art exhibition showcasing works by people living with a mental illness which germinated from the 2004 Biennale of Sydney. After collaborating with Venezuelan artist Javier Tellez on 2 films screened during the Biennalie, women from the film have worked to establish an arts-based recovery program run. Javier Tellez is well known as an artist whose genre explores the issues of mental illness. Whilst in residence at Sydney Collage of the Arts Javier filmed the moving “12 & a marionette” and “Jeanne d’Arc” on the grounds of Rozelle Psychiatric Hospital.
